Naily News #47

If you haven't as yet, make sure your entries are in for the September Giveaway!

Lisa has a fabulous manicure featuring China Glaze Atlantis as a french nail tip.

Helen is making me want long island tea.  Oh and the drink too.

Oooooh I love this monster nail art!

Mummy needs this lacquer STAT.

If you can pick the differences between these two lacquers, you clearly have better eyesight.

I've been saying this for a year, and it still stands, Ginger is the Queen of Purple.

Landa loves neons.

Nubar Reclaim just shot to the top of my lemming list.

Ange feels the Illamasqua love.

If you have a great nail related post to share, paste a link in the comments.

Otherwise, YGN has been live for one year today!  Read on to find out some pointless statistics and gunk.

Oh, and for those of you who wanted to know what little Aussies sound like, enjoy the video above.  I personally like Boo telling me at the end 'Stop it mummy. I don't like it'.  Bossman!

It's been a year today since I started You've Got Nail, so I thought it might be worth sharing some milestones and memories with you guys.
  • Close to 200,000 people have visited YGN in the last year.  I think at least 10% is attributable to my mum.
  • I have never missed a day of posting.  If you check through the archives, you'll see that there has been a post every single day for the last 365 days.  I bring it daily and I love it.
  • There are 470 posts on YGN.
  • It's been 52 weeks since YGN started, yet I've just noticed that this is the Naily News #47.  I've not missed a Naily News so I can only attribute this to me being a dumb-a** and doubling up a few times.
  • When I started YGN, my collection of lacquers was already around 600.  It now stands at over 1000 lacquers.  And growing.  I need a blog sale.
  •  Never have I met a more welcoming and loving community than nail bloggers.  You guys are overwhelmingly generous, kind and you seem to be amused by the ongoing stream of smack talk on my Twitter.
Suffice to say, my cup runneth over.  Thanks to everyone who reads and contributes to YGN.  This site would be an echo chamber were it not for those who take the time to read, write comments, write emails, tell me I'm a dumb-a**.

Here's to another 365 days of epic manicures and tragic nail disasters.  You know there'll be plenty from both categories!
