October Giveaway - piCture pOlish Picture Perfect Giveaway

I am so excited about this month's giveaway, as it involves brand new Australian brand, piCture pOlish.

Over the next five weeks, I will be showcasing five of their amazing lacquers.  In short, though, these are beautiful lacquers.  The formula is creamy, they take two coats to get opaque and they last for ages.  Best of all, they post internationally which is rare for an Aussie lacquer company. << The Girls have just informed me that international shipping is temporarily on hold, but will be back up and running in December. The first one I'm showcasing, Camo, is my personal favourite. It's the perfect khaki and one of those colours that would be suitable for both work and play.

Now, if you love this, click on the jump to see how you can win three piCture pOlish lacquers of your choice.

Naily News #49

Thanks to everyone who entered the September Giveaway.  It's going to take me a few days to get through all the entries but I am aiming to have the two winners announced during the week.

And make sure you stay tuned for the  October Giveaway which kicks off tomorrow.  I won't say much but it is being sponsored by a brand new Aussie brand that will blow your socks off.

It's not really news but I miss Ms Nixxy and Kaz. Being the Queen is not the cakewalk I thought it would be.  They better come back or I'm going to drag them home.

Oooh, it's deep, it's red, it's luscious.

A lacquer that resembles Aurora Borealis always gets to me.

Don't argue. Just click this link. Prepared to be delighted.

My little sister thinks this is a nail art fail.  In my world, where I can't draw anything, I think it's a BIG SUCCESS.

You guys know I love myself some Diana goodness.  This is beautiful.

If you have a great nail related post to share, paste a link in the comments.

Otherwise, read on for a general update and some smack talk.

Sinful Colors - Secret Admirer + TBN Glitter Mashup

A very quick one today because I have the Melbourne Beauty Blogger Event to get ready for, and go to!  So there will be more pictures than words in this post.

Sinful Colors' Secret Admirer is a gorgeous black with silver shimmer.  Two coats and I was done.  It dried a little rough so, if you want a shiny finish, grab the Seche Vite.

But it doesn't end there.  I added a coat of TBN's Glitter, just to see what would happen.  Peep it after the jump.

BYS - Too Hot to Handle

BYS are so sweet they even named a lacquer after me.  That's my story and I'm sticking with it.

Too Hot to Handle is an orange jelly red.  I don't like jellies (I know, I'm strange) and I'm not a fan of orange-reds either, but this?  This I really like.  I think that, because it's a tad sheer, the warmness of the orange isn't overpowering for my skin tone.  So it works where a more opaque jelly wouldn't.  Awesomesauce.

Formula-wise, this took four coats to get to the above swatch.  And it's still a little sheer.  Which I know will put some of you off but it doesn't particularly worry me.

Love.

You've Got Nail Rave - Scandal Nail Polish Remover

I bought Scandal's Nail Polish Remover purely because I liked the packaging.  It has one of those openings where you push down and the remover comes up to the top and sits in a little plate.  I hope that makes sense.

So I bought this with the intention of emptying out the remover and putting my own in there.  Well bugger that idea because..... this is an AMAZING remover.  In fact, aside from acetone, it's the best I have ever used.

It removes nail polish easily and the rose hip oil is like a mini moisturising boost that my cuticles greedily drink in.  Highly recommended.  Don't you love it when you buy something with low to no expectations and it surprises?
